Wondering whether or not to invest in a tankless water heater system, but don’t know where to start or if it’s worth it? Here are a few ways a tankless system could save you, and why you should consider installing one:
- They save energy.
They heat water only when your faucet is turned on. They usually operate on natural gas or propane, and the main advantage is that they eliminate the extra cost of keeping 40 to 50 gallons of water hot in a storage tank, so you use way less energy than you would if you had a traditional heater.
- They save space.
Tankless heaters use significantly less space than a traditional heater – they can be mounted to a wall indoors or outdoors.
- They save money.
Tankless water heaters reduce the heating costs of a traditional heater, and have been known to take up to 40% off your utility bill.

We were called out to Diamond Bar for what the customer presumed was a leak under her water heater caused by a slab leak.
After investigation, we cut a hole in the drywall under the staircase to expose the pipes seen here. In the cold line manifold, there was a pinhole leak that was constantly shooting out water! It wasn’t a slab leak after all.
We cut out the bad section of pipe and repaired the line to fix the leak.
We were able to save the home from a good deal of damage and the customer a lot of money as well.
Before: the image on the left with the red arrow shows the constant pinhole leak from the pipe.
After: the image on the right where the green arrow is pointing to shows the area that we sautered the hole to fix the leak.
